STEM Literature to Own

Since S.T.E.M education is a relatively new topic, not many books have been released on the subject. However, I did manage to find 3 on Amazon worth taking a look at if you have a passion for (or mild interest in) science, technology, education and/or math:

A  Companion to Interdisciplinary STEM Project-Based Learning
A  Companion to Interdisciplinary STEM Project-Based LearningAccording to Amazon, This text contains 24 Project-Based Learning (PBL) lessons written by high school teachers (adaptable for middle school) that include lesson appropriate for all subjects. All the PBL lessons in the book were used in urban high-school classrooms. The lessons were developed over a three-year period while working with the Aggie Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) Center.

Improving Undergraduate Instruction in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics: Report of a Workshop
Improving Undergraduate Instruction in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics: Report of a WorkshopIn this book, participants in the workshop were asked to explore three related questions: (1) how to create measures of undergraduate learning in STEM courses; (2) how such measures might be organized into a framework of criteria and benchmarks to assess instruction; and (3) how such a framework might be used at the institutional level to assess STEM courses and curricula to promote ongoing improvements.

If you want to learn more about (or purchase) any of these texts, simply click on the links provided for a more in-depth description.

Not only will these books satisfy your interest in S.T.E.M., but they will also earn me a small commission for each sale made since I am an Amazon Affiliate. Talk about a win-win situation!

The STEM School Blog is intended to be a FREE S.T.E.M. education resource and will always remain that way, but a little bit of capitalism can go a long way in expanding the site and its message across the web, all while providing useful, relevant resources for you.

If you have read any of these books, please comment with your thoughts on them so any potential readers know what to expect!
