Yorktown Math Science & Technology Magnet School has long had a focus on Math, Science & Technology. In 2012 teachers were trained in STEM education and STEM was integrated across the curriculum, across all grade levels. Yorktown sponsors 3 Family Engineering Nights yearly to encourage parent support and involvement in STEM education. Plans are moving forward to begin a STEM club in 2012 to provide students afterschool exposure to STEM activities and careers.
