Established in 1973 with the mission to nurture spiritual and emotional growth, provide social and relational support and training, promote healthy physical development, Orange Lutheran High School (OLHS) is set up to equip students with knowledge and skills required to become lifelong learners and innovators. Students of OLHS are trained to value and demonstrate honesty, respect and service, identify and develop academic and intellectual abilities as well as recognize and maximize their talents. The essence of STEM program of OLHS is to stir up and prepare students for majors and careers in high-demand fields of Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM). The students of STEM Education program will take rigorous course load that comprise ten Honors and AP Math and Science courses in addition to the STEM-specific courses: Honors Engineering and Honors Molecular Genetics. The courses coupled with an internship will create for students a distinctive foundation for excelling at STEM majors at most selective universities. Recent STEM students of OLHS attend Duke, UCLA, MIT, Harvard, Purdue, etc. Orange Lutheran High School believes that workers with STEM Education play key role in sustained growth and stability of U.S. economy and are critical component to helping the U.S. win the future, thus, it grooms leaders and inventors who would drive the state’s innovation and competitiveness through generation of new ideas, new companies and new industries.
